Herbalife, a global nutrition company, is currently holding the Thailand leg of the 6thAsia Pacific Wellness Tour in Bangkok, with Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) member Dr Gary Small as the guest speaker.

Herbalife has organized a sixth Asia Pacific Wellness Tour. Five experts from the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) are scheduled to tour 21 Asian cities to appear at talks, workshops and medical symposiums from October 7 to 30. Each of these events will see the Herbalife NAB members sharing their views on a range of health-related topics, including weight management, brain health and aging, metabolism, sports medicine, sports science and nutrition.

Dr Small, a top brain expert from the US and a professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), shared his professional insights on keeping the brain young.

"The good news is our memory does not have to decline as we age. There are lifestyle strategies associated with a lower risk for dementia," he said. "It has become increasingly crucial for people across all age groups to be aware that there are simple, practical ways to enhance brain performance. Herbalife embraces a healthy, active lifestyle and firmly believes that good nutrition plays an essential role for maintaining a healthier brain for the rest of your life."

Dr Small also discussed "digital dementia", the current phenomenon involving millions of millennials worldwide, who are addicted to their electronic devices. He touched on people's dependence on technology, and how it also changes the way the brain works.

Dr Small has authored over 500 scientific works and received numerous awards and honors, including the "Senior Investigator Award" from the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.
