Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel General Manager and Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) Committee Member, Ms. ChooLeng Goh, taught a Venue Management course for a Career Advisory held as part of "MICE Career Day" organised by TCEB MICE Capabilities Department at Kon Kaen University, Thailand recently.
Other TICA Committee Members taking part included: Khun Panithan Bumrasarinpai - Advisor-PCO, N.C.C. Management &Development Co., Ltd; Khun Boontawee Jantasuwan-Group Managing Director, Events Travel Asia; Khun Talun Theng- General Manager, Royal Paragon Enterprises Co.,Ltd; and Khun Sumalee Noppakao –Assistant General Manager Production Services-PCO, BITEC.
The executives took turns to speak on hotel, venue, DMC, PCO and PEO topics, giving students a clear picture of what MICE is and the career paths they can expect if they choose to work in the industry.
Ms. ChooLeng Goh designed her Venue Management Course to give the students the opportunity to acquire new capabilities that could serve them in their future careers. The course taught them to innovate, build connections among MICE Venue entrepreneurs and follow best practices.
