Fond of mixing media, it is fitting that the exhibition opens on 1st April, coinciding with the SO Beach Party that is held on the first Saturday of every month, attracting city-dwellers, as well as locals from Cha-Am and Hua Hin, for seven hours of sun, surf, sounds and seafood.
Ugo Li – whose solo exhibition "UNTITLED" will be on display at Galerie, SO Sofitel Hua Hin throughout April and May 2017 – is one such thought-provoking artist. Born in Paris, Li has lived and worked in Bangkok for the last four years, though he originally intended to stay just four months. He works at that "artistic junction where dreams, exploration of memory, thoughts and daily experience intersect," he says – much like the resort at which his art is being shown.
