In Thailand over 500 kids a year go missing, of which a large number are runaways, kids gone, regardless of their class or status. SATI, in collaboration with the HUB Saidek and PARON School of Art, have launched a Runaway Awareness Program joining two groups of kids from different worlds working together to highlight this important issue. This project brought together the kids from Harrow International School and kids of various ages that have been runaways, victims and, in some cases, survivors of domestic abuse, that are now housed under the HUB Foundation where the workshop took place. Together, these kids together created a mural for public bus #48 which will run for 2 months on its route throughout the central area of Bangkok, building awareness of this this issue. The first step towards finding solutions is building awareness, and mindfully understanding that the issue exists. We can all help to spread the message along by keeping an eye out for the #48 bus, taking a picture of it and posting it on social network channels with hashtags #หนึ่งแชร์สร้างความเข้าใจให้อีกหนึ่งคน #sati #runawaybus @satifound @paronschoolofart

Paron Mead, the head of PARON School of Art and one of the mentors of this project, is a qualified art educator and an Art teacher at Harrow International School, whose students have gone on to receive 'Best in the world' and 'Best in Thailand' examination achievements in recent Cambridge awards. He is experienced in working with children, young adults, and adult learners at every level.
