PTT Celebrated Queen Sirikit’s Birthday by Releasing 1 Million Marine Animals

To continue with the 4th marine life preservation and bring back the abundance of the Gulf of Thailand as a merit making for Queen Sirikit on her Birthday anniversary.

Mr. Saichol Chaowthai, Secretary to the Mayor of Laemchabang City Municipality presided over the 4th Releasing Marine Animals along with Mr. Wichitpong Chuenworasub, Vice President, Eastern Petroleum Terminal, PTT Public Company Limited on 12 August 2016 at Wat Laem Chabang (Old), Sriracha Distict, Chonburi Province.

Mr. Saichol stated that this activity was joined by government agencies, private companies, 12 communities, fishing groups, schools and entrepreneurs in this area. PTT and communities were leading in this event for conserving marine animals to celebrate the Queen Sirikit 85th birthday anniversary on 12 August 2016.

Mr. Wichitpong said that Releasing Marine Animals was a great event for every section to take part in the merit making for Queen Sirikit. Moreover, this event bred and brought back live of 1,010,000 marine animals to the sea in front of Wat Laem Chabang (Old) where 1,000,000 black tiger prawns were released in the middle of sea and 10,000 barramundis by the beach.

PTT took responsibility as national energy company to ensure sufficient energy to all Thai as well as the wellbeing of the society and environment. Moreover, PTT gave scholarship to students who exhibited academic excellence, checked LPG Tanks for house's safety, supported Laem Chabang Healthy Festival and arranged community leader seminar to exchange knowledge and develop a better community together. PTT aimed at being a good citizen who is responsible for social and environment for vigorous community and sustainable self-sufficiency.
