The complex will come back to life in terms of tourism, and it will be located in a Mediterranean area close to Madrid. It is expected 250,000 people will visit the lagoon every yearJust a few months after having announced its new business model for lagoon projects, the multinational company has already signed eight projects thus far, in countries such as Korea, the U.S., Turkey, Thailand, and Spain. There are 35 other projects in different negotiation stages

In Spain, and less than 30 kilometres from Madrid, in a Mediterranean and urbanized area, Crystal Lagoons will develop its first public access crystal clear lagoon in Europe. It will be the only of its kind, and the largest, within the continent.

Alovera Beach will open all year round and it expects over 250,000 visits every year, thus reinvigorating tourism in this area. The project will feature a 15.63-rai turquoise lagoon surrounded by a 9.38-rai long white sandy beach as its main attraction. Everybody will have access to the lagoon after paying an entrance ticket.

Public Access Lagoons are triggering a true revolution in terms of leisure, setting a new era for recreational facilities and higher standards for public space. These lagoons are being developed in some of the most diverse places imagined, such as public parks, and they are bringing holiday destinations to people's doorsteps.

Alovera Beach will be developed by Crystal Lagoons, in partnership with Grupo Constructor Rayet. It will involve 15.6 million Euros (approximately 600 million baht) of investment. Construction will create over 330 jobs, either directly or indirectly.

The complex will also include sports facilities, such as a volleyball pitch, area for children, a water park with slides, schools of sailing, kayaking, paddle surfing, restaurants, commercial areas among other venues.

As in every single Crystal Lagoons project, and Alovera Beach will not be the exception, the project will count with the novel and disruptive technology that consumes 30 times less water than a golf course and the ultrasound filtration technology that uses 50 times less energy than conventional filtration systems.

After a few months of having announced the Public Access Lagoon business model, the multinational innovation company has already signed eight projects (4 in Korea, 1 in the U.S., 1 in Turkey, and 1 in Spain), apart from 35 other projects in negotiation and development stages.

In Thailand, there is currently one Crystal Lagoons project in Mahasamutr Country Club Luxury Villas Hua Hin and Crystal Lagoons plans to further expand its business internationally, as well as throughout the country. In the near future, locals and tourists will get to experience the first Public Access Lagoons in South and East of Thailand.
