Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel is thrilled to announce the launch of Executive Chef Gibb's new trendsetting menus at ZOOM Sky Bar & Restaurant and ZOOM Sky Lounge.

The exciting new gastro menus are the culmination of dynamic chef expertise. Garnering almost 20 years' experience, Executive Chef Adtavorn Charoonpontithi, better known as Chef Gibb, began his career at a well-known restaurant in France with a Michelin 2 Star Chef, followed by a Hong Kong restaurant associated with the famous Michelin 3 Star restaurant El Bulli in Spain. Enjoying Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef positions at renowned dining establishments around Thailand, Chef Gibb boasts awards for his culinary prowess and has been the acclaimed Executive Chef at Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel since 2011. Now, showcasing inventive gastronomy on top of the city, Chef Gibb's new menu concepts are designed to suit ZOOM's two distinctive settings.

Steps from the rooftop, ZOOM Sky Lounge offers a swanky city-view bar and a terrace overlooking the River of Kings. In this chic urban den, Chef Gibb's new snack menu tantalises the palate with two sets of signature creations. The Non-Asian Bar Bites has highlights of Black Truffle Fries made from Italian black truffle, French Fries and grain mustard mayonnaise, and Sicilian Calamari Fritti featuring Sicilian squid, eggplant, zucchini, caper mayonnaise and lime. Asian Bar Bites spice up the offering with a Laarb Moo of braised pork, dried chilli, spring onion, lime and crispy sago, as well as a Spicy Raw Fish dish of tuna, salmon, ikura caviar, Thai spicy sauce, mint and cilantro. A live jazz band two times a week sets a sultry mood, as guests savour innovative snacks with imaginative cocktails.

Perched 40 stories above the pulsing capital, ZOOM Sky Bar & Restaurant is an innovative rooftop chill out spot with a 360 degree panorama. Chicly designed in split levels, guests can gather at the central light bar, descend to tables with cushy sofas, reserve one of the VIP areas, and step down to oversized couches for secret views. International DJs set an upbeat mood, as fine wines and mixology cocktails flow. Chef Gibb's new gastro menu here enhances the sensory excitement with a fascinating story behind each thoughtful dish. The freshest and most sought-after ingredients are sourced from Chef Gibb's favourite local farmers and the Royal Project, fresh seafood catches from deep sea divers in Hokkaido and rods from the Andaman Sea. Ingenious flavour pairings and molecular techniques showcase Chef Gibb's Michelin Star Chef training and personal creative flair. Dishes nod to Asian's rich culinary heritage, passionate Mediterranean traditions and sumptuous global trends.

The lavish new menu at ZOOM Sky Bar & Restaurant spoils diners for choice. The Texture section conjures delights like The Farmer's Club, which celebrates a locally produced seasonal harvest in a rustic basket of baby spinach, wild rocket, mushroom, green squash, semi dried tomato, every part of quail, honey, lemon, mulberries, figs, basil seed and broccoli panna cotta.

Liquid Artisan creations feature a French tribute of Bouillabaisse, crafting seafood soup with crab meat, garlic melba and saffron rouille. From The Butcher is a feast of prime meat cuts, including an Ayutthaya province special of Rice Field Duck Breast that has been aged for 30 days and roasted, enhanced by Thai seasoning, orange and ginger infuse beet root, sweet potato and Asian coleslaw with a shallot and tamarind juice. The extensive Wild Fish & Shell Fish section stars a Lobster And Rice special of hot stone lobster, arborio rice risotto, artichoke, parmesan cheese and lobster oil – with live lobster express flown from Canada, steamed on a bed of hot river stones, and a dashi broth poured tableside to create an instant emulsion. To end, Sweet Elements surprise with decadent reinterpretations of classic desserts, such as the Gold twist on a tiramisu, featuring pumpkin, mascarpone cheese and coffee, enriched by real gold leaves for a glittery impression.
