SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, BANGKOK SWTICHES OFF THE LIGHTS AND SWITCHES ON THE PALATES TO CELEBRATE EARTH HOUR 2018

Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok participates in this year Earth Hour by switching off the lights and switching on a meaningful meal on Saturday, 24 March 2018 from 8:30to 9:30 p.m. While switching off all non-essential lights, diners may enjoy a special five-course "Earth Hour" Italian set menu at the hotel's Volti restaurant & bar.

Volti's five-course sustainable menu is priced at Bt1,888++ per person and includes Keta Salmon Carpaccio with Sugar Snap Peas, Thai Orange "Caviar" and Cucumber; Royal Project Green Asparagus Soup Pistachio and Tarragon Cream; Organic Pumpkin Risotto and Caramelised Gorgonzola Sabayon; and Thai Finger Banana Souffle with Dark Chocolate Sorbet. For the main course, guests can choose between Slow Roasted and Rolled Suckling Pig from Chiang Mai with Red Cabbage and Braised Shallots with Pommery Mustard Sauce or Cioppino Seafood Stew with Squid Ink Linguine. This special menu is locally produced with sustainability in mind for a dining experience that is good for guests and our planet. Guests who purchase the set menu will receive a special 20 per cent discount for a bottle of wine.

During the Earth Hour, guests may also sip their favourite drinks at NEXT2 Upper Deck in great environmentally conscious outdoor atmosphere overlooking the Chao Phraya River.
