Following the successful inaugural Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Beach Volleyball World Tour -- Langkawi Open last year, Langkawi is set to welcome the return of the tour in 2018. Promoted and organised by E-Plus Global Sdn Bhd, this year's edition will take place from 26 to 29 April 2018 at Pantai Cenang with another exciting men's and women's contest over the four days of competition.

With the FIVB as the governing body for the Olympic sport of Volleyball, the Malaysian event is part of the World Tour 1-Star (WT1) tournament. After Langkawi, the tour will move to Manila, Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand.

Regarded as a boost for the continued development of beach volleyball in Malaysia, Datuk Benny Hoe, President of Malaysia Association (MAVA) comments, "It is gratifying that FIVB has continued to entrust us to host this world class Beach Volleyball World Tour. More importantly, it is a massive boost in our efforts towards the development of Malaysia's own home-grown talents."

With Langkawi again at the centre of sporting attention, Dato' Haji Azizan Noordin, Chief Executive Officer of the Langkawi Authority Development (LADA) adds, "We are extremely excited to welcome both fans and competitors back to the picturesque location of Pantai Cenang for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour.
