Government and Civil Society Sectors Together with 12 Leading Private Organizations Hold a Meeting on the 2nd Phase of CONNEXT ED Education & Leadership Development Project

Prof. Udom Kachintorn, Deputy Minister of Education (front row – 4th from left) and Professor Emeritus Charas Suwanwela, Chairman of the Independent Committee for Education Reform (front row – 3rd from left), together with the government & civil society sectors and 12 CEOs from leading private organizations, the founding members of CONNEXT ED Project, collaborate to carry on their success in the PPP in Education and Leadership Development Project for the 1st phase, which delivers best practices for PPP schools. The working committee recently organized a meeting at the Operational Meeting Room at AIA Capital Tower on Ratchadapisek Road to discuss their 2nd phase of development plan, which targets to expand its network to over 4,600 schools nationwide in order to reflect the vision of developing people, reducing inequality and increasing competitive advantage level in line with the project's five strategic frameworks.

This meeting is aimed at acknowledging its school development progress and academic achievement in the 1st phase (2016-2017) and opening a stage to exchange knowledge among the three collaborating sectors as well as setting directions for achieving quick wins in the areas of creating "Job Demand Platform", expanding PPP schools in the 2nd phase, developing "Capability Center" and encouraging "Media & Digital Media" to communicate education content and drive awareness of all related parties to participate in developing the national education regime.

On this occasion, the committee members joining the meeting comprised the government sector experts such as M.L. Pariyada Diskul – Secretary to the Minister of Education Ministry, Dr. Piyabutr Cholvijarn – Chairman of the Basic Education Board, Dr. Boonrux Yodpheth – Secretary General of Basic Education Commission, and the civil society experts such as Dr. Art-Ong Jumsai Na Ayudhaya – Chief Administrator of Sathya Sai School, Dr. Witit Rachatatanun - School Director of Panyaprateep School, and the private sector led by Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont – Chief Executive Officer, Charoen Pokphand Group and Chairman of the Executive Committee, True Corporation Plc as the Head of Private Sector Team (back row – 6th from right) as well as founding members of CONNEXT ED Project, namely;
