Bangkok--28 Jun--Oasis spa thailand

Approximately 1/3 of the world's spas - an estimated 25,000 spas, are located in the ten ASEAN Members States of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. In Thailand only 15 spas were considered worthy of receiving this certification and four of those 15 were branches of Oasis Spa.

Receiving what must be considered the highest reward for spa excellence in all of Asia is Toby Allen, Pakin Ployphicha and two Oasis Spa Managers. The ASEAN Spa Standards Certification was awarded by the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat. It is given to those spas which improve the quality of human resources, services, and facilities in the ASEAN spa industry. They take into account: location, services, people, products, equipment, management and environments. The certification ceremony was recently held at the Arnoma Grand hotel Bangkok.
