“Woof Pack Space” presents “KALEIDOSCOPE | Through My lens” photography exhibition

An insight into the diversity of LGBT community through the lens of renowned photographers

"Woof Pack Space" create space – lifestyle and art community by Jay – Ple Spencer presents "KALEIDOSCOPE | Through my Lens." The first ever photography exhibition showing insights into the LGBT community through the lens of renowned photographers such as Nat Prakobsantisuk, Amat Nimitpark, Tada Varich, Piyatat Hemmatat, and from amateur photographers such as Kit Bencharongkul, Chayanee Chomsaengchan, and Chatchawal Chantachotibut, to name a few. The exhibition will hold an array of activities for LGBT community including LGBT movie screening, live talk addressing LGBT issues and more. The exhibition will be available for the public from July 3-22, 2016 at "Woof Pack Space" at Woof Pack Building, Saladaeng Soi 1, Silom Road. Entry is free of charge.

Mr. Spencer said, "Even if Thailand today is more accepting towards LGBT community but in truth, the understanding of LGBT couples living together are still a mystery which is the inspiration of the exhibition, "KALEIDOSCOPE | Through my Lens". This is a community space where people can visit to learn, comprehend, be inspired, and exchange their opinions and thoughts on the differences of the LGBT community through photographic art by numerous famous photographers. It is also good timing because July is Pride Month celebration. We hope that we will be a small starting point for people to realize and accept the diversity and creativity in the society as well."

"The photography exhibition, "KALEIDOSCOPE | Through my Lens" is honored to receive work from over 25 leading photographers in Thailand such as Wasan Puengprasert, Vatcharasit Vitchyannarat, Phansiri Sirivejchaphan, and new up and coming photographers like Chardchakaj Waikawee, Namkang Paris Wuttipong, and Benya Hegenbarth. They are more than happy to share their views on LGBT community in their unique perspectives. A collection comprises of over 40 pieces of portrait, abstract, landscape, and street photography. These will be available for art lovers to collect. All proceeds will be donated to three foundations include the House of Blessing Foundation, Karen Hill Tribes Trust, and World Wide Fund for Nature – WWF," said Jareyadee Spencer.

As for Bangkok Screening Room, there will be screening of choicest LGBT movies from all over the world including Beats Per Minute – a French movie addressing AIDS epidemic in Paris in the 90s. Attending the event is an honorable guest, John Baladu, the person behind the movies addressing alternative genders from Indonesia which is considered a historical moment for the LGBT community in Indonesia. He will join in the talk about issues regarding LGBT community such as the laws supporting same sex marriage for LGBT to live as a couple.
