New GM appointed for Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam

Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alexander John Eaton as the General Manager, effective July 2, 2018. The 4-star Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam is perfectly located in Bangkok's fashion district, featuring 288 well-designed rooms; the hotel offers two bars and one restaurant, five multi-purpose meeting rooms.

The hotel has an enviable reputation having been inducted into the TripAdvisor's 'Hall of Fame' in 2018 for being the seventh consecutive recipient of its 'Certificate of Excellence', the Certificate of Excellence celebrates hospitality establishments that continuously and consistently receive great reviews on TripAdvisor and deliver a memorable and all around superior experience to their guests.

Mr. Eaton graduated in 2009 from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) majoring in Business & Hospitality Industry Management.

Mr. Eaton started at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. at the Westin and W in the US before transferring to the 5-star Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa in Queensland, Australia where he was Hotel Operations Manager and was instrumental to the hotel being ranked the top three in four categories among 14 Starwood Hotels and Resorts in the Pacific Region.

The Australian arrived in Thailand in 2014 as Director of Operations of the 5-Star 296 rooms Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa with eight food and beverage venues, and appointed Acting General Manager during hotel renovations.

Recruited by Destination Hospitality as General Manager of the Swissotel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach in October 2015 with the 180-suite Accor Luxury Resort & Spa and three food and beverage venues before transferring to Novotel Hua Hin Cha Am Beach Resort in July 2016. His successful turnaround of 243 rooms and seven food & beverage venues resulted in his transfer to Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam.
