The marathon attracts enthusiasts from across the world and features different distances and levels of endurance from mini marathon up to full marathon to give everyone the opportunity to have fun while being active, experience Pattaya's hilly and coastal landscape along the beach road and be a part of the whole marathon festival. Dusit Thani Pattaya has been supporting the event by sending staff for participation as well as sponsoring drinking water and "lite bites" for runners since its inception in cooperation with Pattaya City, Local Government Sectors and Tourism Officials. This forms part of an ongoing initiative to continue supporting the local social event.
The "Pattaya Marathon" has been organised annually since 1992. It has now become a public sports culture and tradition of this world-famous tourist city, Pattaya.
