On July 16, following a lengthy series of negotiations, the eight Taoyuan-based startups signed nine memoranda of understanding involving collaborative efforts in technology, agency representation, product distribution and trade with the 30 Vietnam-based organizations, all of whom were members of the local entrepreneurship club, with the aim of assisting Taiwanese firms seeking to expand into the Vietnamese market.
The delegation also visited UP Co-working Space, Phuong Dong University, Vietnam Investment Development Group, Quang Ninh Young Entrepreneurs' Association as well as Quang Ninh Investment & Start-up Club, as well as other incubators and accelerators for startups, resulting in several of the visited organizations signing MoUs with the center for cooperation in trade, investment, talent and technology.
With a focus on the ASEAN market, the center has partnered with governmental bodies and private organizations in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. The center has established incubation centers with 12 strategic partners and 7 organizations with a local presence in 16 countries, enabling small- and medium-sized companies in Taiwan to take advantage of opportunities and expand into markets worldwide by capitalizing on their executives' many years of accumulated know-how and experience in international business.
