Hilton Pattaya donated THB 200,000 by fundraising from 'Teddy for Charity' campaign to Habitat for Humanity Thailand for sponsorship of a greenhouse for Wat Don Lan School in Phak Hai District, Ayutthaya. Not only the donation, Hilton Pattaya management team and more than thirty team members together with the team of Habitat for Humanity Thailand also helped each other to build a greenhouse including shoveling, mixing fertilizer, planting and making concrete floor. The organic produce from this project will be used for the students' lunch to ensure that they get the fresh and good quality of food. In addition, the greenhouse is used as an agricultural learning center for teachers and students as well.
Other activities also were organized to improve the students' living including the maintenance of tables, benches and fans at the canteen, the donation of student shoes, stationery, sport equipment and enjoy the lunch together.
As a part of Hilton's strategy, the company aims to create a positive impact in the communities. Not only the environmental conservation, the company also invests in many programs to help women and youth around the world. Hilton Pattaya initiated 'Teddy for Charity' fundraising campaign and organized the corporate social responsibility activities during the Global Week of Service to support the local communities such as building a playground for autistic children, building houses for families in need and building a greenhouse for the school.
