MR.D.I.Y. celebrates 100th Store in Thailand

Recently MR.D.I.Y., the largest home improvement retailer from Malaysia announced the debut of its 100th store launching in Thailand which is located at Tesco Lotus Plus Mall, BangYai. The honored guests, business partners and media guests from variety publications together celebrated an official grand opening on 25th July, 2018.

MR.D.I.Y. was founded in Malaysia in 2548 and expanded to Thailand in 2559. Presently, there are 29 MR.D.I.Y. stores located at Tesco Lotus, employs 8000 employee and serves more than 128 million customers per year. MR.D.I.Y. stores carries more than 20,000 types of products across 9 departments - Hardware, household, electrical, car accessories, toys, stationery, gifts, sports, jewellery & cosmetics. Their tagline Always Low Prices, to promote their brand value of affordable pricing, has been successful in garnering 128 mil customer per annum, which continues to increase by leap and bounds.

Aside from business expansion to reply to high potential in Thailand, MR.D.I.Y. also pays great attention for the overall and general impact that the company has on Thai society through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and charity. In the past, the donations were made to needy schools in the wilderness, helping boat sinking victims in Phuket, donating flashlight and batteries to the rescue team to help the boys out of the Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai. The other CSR and charities are committed to continue in the future.

MR.D.I.Y. is a home-grown enterprise with over 550 stores throughout Thailand and Asia-Pacific. Most MR.D.I.Y. stores encompass about 930 square meters of retail space, providing a comfortable and wholesome family shopping experience. MR.D.I.Y. serves more than 128 million customers yearly at all their stores throughout Malaysia. MR.D.I.Y targets to expand an additional 80 stores in Thailand by end of 2561, the firm targets to serve up to 25 million customers in 2561.

All MR.D.I.Y. stores are managed directly and they work in collaboration with large retailers and mall owners, operating as a mini anchor tenant in their respective location. The company's vision is to become the largest home improvement retailer in Asia-Pacific and strives to always put customers first by operating an innovative business that is flexible when it comes to a wide range of product variety, good quality and value-for-money prices; holding true to the company motto of "ALWAYS LOW PRICES".
