Daranee Thongprachum, a project manager of NEO stated that the number of raising pets is increasing every year. One major factor presents that people decide not to get married and have kids. Thus, this factor influences that people are interested in having pets; moreover, pet lovers educate how to raise pets well. This causes that the rate of raising pets is continuously going up every year at the average 10 - 15% per year, especially in a group of pet feed industries and pet health care. It is believed that overall pet markets will grow in this year as it is expected at 32 billion baht that would increase from the last year 10%.
2nd Pet Expo Championship is held from 23rd-26th August 2018, at 10am. - 8pm., at BCC Hall on the 5th floor in Central Ladprao. The pet expo is organized in the second time after the first time of the pet expo last year was greatly successful. In this year, the concept of the project is "Happy 4-leg War" which reflects on pet lovers taking their pets to work out in order to enrich physical pet health and extent pet's lives. In addition, this activity will boost a relationship between pet owners and pets.
Sometimes, pet owners have no ideas about their own pet that might have talent skills. Therefore, the competitions in the fair such as FlyBall Championship which is firstly held in Thailand, Dog Agility, High Jump, and ZigZag. Furthermore, there are more than 130 shops selling products in special prices such as pet feed, medical supplies, nutrients, body and fur care products, fur trimming tools, clothing, accessories, toys, and acquisition tools, dog's snacks, souvenirs for pet lovers, accommodations such as hotels (pets allowed), veterinary hospitals, other products such as cages, beds, pet carts, and other services.
To explore interesting activities in the expo, pet lovers will meet dog celebrities "Gluta and Gollum" fully performing in special activities for example, health checkup from Thonglhor Animal Hospital and Rattanathibeth Animal Hospital, other animal zones including a fashion show from Pet Idol season 2. It is expected that there will be not less than 50,000 participants during the expo.
