Mr. Karl Hudson, Area Vice President - Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Myanmar, welcomed everyone with the words: "Our hope is that everyone enjoys a fine day's golf, making new connections or renewing old friendships and takes home some great memories and perhaps a prize, all in the knowledge that their efforts will aid a very worthwhile cause indeed."
The competition took the form of an 18-hole 'Texas Scramble'. After the day's exertions on the fairways and greens, the golfers and guests enjoyed an indulgent gala dinner together at Thana City Golf Club.
All proceeds from the Marriott Golf Day are being donated to Operation Smile charity that provides free surgery to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities for less-privileged children throughout Thailand.
