To support the inauguration and opening ceremony of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand's new office building in Bangkok as well as the Startup Thailand event being held there, the Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency (ASVDA) teamed up with the Institute for Information Industry and Blue Ocean Accelerator to organize the exhibition delegation for the Taiwan Startup Technology Exhibition & Startup Thailand, leading 15 startups representing several industries, including drones, intelligent agriculture, intelligent transportation, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI), to attend the exhibition in Thailand between July 23 and 28. Meanwhile, in order to help Taiwanese startups expand into the southbound market, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand hosted the Taiwan Startup Technology Exhibition & Business Matching Conference on July 24, an event held contemporaneously to the inauguration ceremony for the new building, to which local vendors in Thailand had been invited so that members of the delegation could network with them and find suitable partners for their respective projects. The event is designed to help Taiwanese startups avail themselves of business opportunities in the new southbound countries.

ASVDA CAO Lee Po-Jung said that, Thailand is a key market for Taiwan. With the aim of showing their support for the opening of the new office building, demonstrating Taiwan's strength in innovation and technology and aggressively taking advantage of new southbound business opportunities, ASVDA invited the Institute for Information Industry and Blue Ocean Accelerator to jointly select the 15 startups that would be invited to attend the exhibition, with a focus on certain industries, most notably drones, intelligent agriculture, intelligent transportation, IoT and AI. In the end, 30 individuals made up the delegation. Whether in terms of the number of exhibiting companies, number of industries represented, or the number of individuals involved, the event broke several records in terms of Taiwan's history of attending exhibitions in Thailand.

In order to demonstrate their support for the opening of the new building, ASVDA was highly involved in the planning and design of the exhibition space and the layout of booths for the first Taiwanese exhibition held there. ASVDA's goal is to create an atmosphere in the new building that is in line with the styles and expectations of today.

In addition to their participation in the Taiwan Startup Technology Exhibition, the exhibition delegation will also participate in Startup Thailand, with the objective of improving the visibility of Taiwanese startups in Thailand and exposing them to more business opportunities.
