Megaplay Shopping Center Establishes Beachhead at Wangburapa Junction with Digital-IT World to Launch by the End of 2011

Bovornpong Company Limited, a subsidiary of Prommaharaj Land Development, joins hand with Century 21 Realty Affiliates Thailand Limited to develop Megaplay Wangburapa Shopping Center project, the world of digital, worth over 1,100 Million Baht which will be launched by the end of 2011.

Mr.Vorawit Veerabovornpong, President of Bovornpong Company Limited ( a subsidiary of Prommaharaj Land Development) discloses that the company is renovating the formerly Merry Kings Wangburapa to change from department store to IT shopping cente r that focuses on the concept of digital world where computer, games and electronic equipments will be provided in categories to meet consumer’s demand in the heart of the city. The plan and operation is resulted from a research on market demand (both tenants and shoppers) which brought to the idea to developing this IT center as IT plays an important role in life of people in every generation just like one of the four requisites.

“Megaplay Shopping Center will be divided into 2 parts—Building A with 6 floors and Building B with 10 floors, situated on Mahachai Road near Wangburapa Junction. The total area of the project is 1 rai 3 ngan. Computer zone which will be main products will start at 1st and 2nd floor with computer equipments, electric appliances, audio system, mobile phone handset, camera, car accessories and air-conditioned flea market Klongthom and 6th floor will be food center. The idea of renovation and design in Megaplay will be the modernity of wireless service as well as equipments that can connect convenience to user,” Mr. Vorawit says.

Mr.Kitisak Jampathipphong, CEO of Century 21 Realty Affiliates (Thailand) Co., Ltd , which is sale and lease management agency for Megaplay Wangburapa discusses on details of sale management that since the area had a soft launch, a month before doing public relations for Megaplay Shopping Center, there are 15% in booking at the area of 1st and 3rd floor and the company targets to have 60% on the official launch on August 4, 2011.

When Megaplay is ready to open by the end of 2011, an acquisition of sellable area will be reach 95%.The project value is around 1,100 Million Baht. When setting price , product and service categories will be considered. Customer interested can rent or take a long lease from 5 to 15 years. Long lease rate starts at 825,000 Baht per 5 square meter, depending on size and area on each floor which will have a slight difference in rate. Customer can make a booking with a deposit of 30,000-50,000 baht and 5-10% on the contract day.
