WARREN, N.J.--(GLOBE NEWSWIRE)--Nov. 4, 2014
New VCOs Broaden ANADIGICS' Catalog RF Products Portfolio and Deliver Exceptional Performance for Point-to-Point Wireless Backhaul Applications

ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq:ANAD) (the "Company"), a world leader in radio frequency (RF) solutions, today announced that the Company has introduced a new product family of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs). Point-to-point wireless backhaul networks provide reliable access to high-speed data and voice services without fiber optic infrastructure connectivity. According to a recent report by iGR, the North American market for wireless backhaul metrocells is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 146% over the next five years. The Company's new VCO solutions are optimized for these applications and offer outstanding output power and phase noise performance at the industry's highest order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM).

"Point-to-point wireless backhaul networks solve the placement, zoning, and construction challenges associated with traditional infrastructure equipment, which requires fiber optic and telecom connectivity," said Tim Laverick, senior vice president of Infrastructure Products at ANADIGICS. "By leveraging our advanced design capabilities and unique wafer process technologies, we have developed a new family of wireless infrastructure catalog products that expand our market reach into point-to-point applications. ANADIGICS' VCOs deliver outstanding performance and integration in support of higher QAMs and enable stable, high-throughput connectivity in the newest generation of wireless backhaul devices."

ANADIGICS' new voltage-controlled oscillators utilize the Company's leading HBT process to deliver outstanding phase noise and output power. These products also feature integrated divide-by-2 and divide-by-4 with internal resonators. This level of performance and integration is offered in a compact 5 mm by 5 mm, 32-lead package with an industry-standard pinout. The AMV8901, AMV8902, AMV8903, AMV8904, AMV8905, AMV8906, AMV8907, AMV8908 and AMV8909 are the first solutions being offered in this new catalog product family.
