Bangkok, July 7, 2015 – Panasonic, an industry leader in reliable and innovative mobile computers since 1996, has expanded its ToughBook and Toughpad range of rugged notebooks and tablets by launching two rugged handheld tablets including the Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1 as well as semi-rugged Toughbook CF-54 in Thailand. The company has also recently established its first configuration center in Malaysia with an aim to fuel Panasonic's business growth in the ASEAN region.

The new Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1 tablets represent a significant expansion of Panasonic's Toughpad line, the world's most comprehensive portfolio of enterprise-focused tablets. The Toughpad FZ-E1, powered by Windows Embedded 8.1 Handheld, and the Toughpad FZ-X1, running the Android™ 4.2.2 operating system, are five-inch enterprise-class handheld tablets — with voice and data connectivity — designed for mission-critical mobile workers. While the Toughbook CF-54 represents the thinnest and lightest semi-rugged PC in its category.

"With the expanding mobile workforce and growing infrastructure investments across Asia, organizations of all sizes are evaluating their enterprise mobility strategy to ensure their mobile workers are equipped with the right devices to consistently get connected to secured data," said Mr. Sathip Kongjantra, Country Manager-Thailand, Toughbook Solution Team, Panasonic System Solutions Asia Pacific. "Building on our legacy of nearly two decades of rugged devices, Panasonic designed the Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1 to withstand the harshest conditions, keeping workers connected to the data they need to do their jobs, to one another and to the customers they are supporting. The Toughbook CF-54, a semi-rugged laptop, has also been redesigned to be lighter, stronger and more portable than ever."
