Google Lens, an exciting new augmented reality feature, now is hosted within Sony Xperia XZ2 camera app. If smartphone users have ever found themselves wandering around town unsure of the buildings or landmarks they're seeing, or unable to identify an adorable dog they have just seen in the park, then Google Lens steps in to understand the environment and allows the user to immediately acquire this knowledge. Users can now access its features directly within the camera app on Xperia XZ2* (available out-of-the-box for XZ2 Premium) via a free update rolling out from today**.

Google Lens helps smartphone users browse and interact with the world around them. Find products online, copy and paste text, learn more about landmarks, add events to a personal calendar, look up movie posters, identify popular plants and animals, and much more, with the power of AR. Update the Google app to access Google Lens directly from the camera app on Xperia XZ2.

*Supported languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian
**Rollout is phased - timing and availability may vary by market and/or device
