AIS has entered into a strategic partnership with Google to underline its Digital for Thais concept that supports and offers Thais the opportunity to equally access digital content and digital services through a global innovation. AIS and Google are bringing new digital technology to remove limitations and enhance the capabilities and lives of the Thai people, in line with Thailand 4.0 policy.

Mr. Pratthana Leelapanang, AIS's Chief Consumer Business Officer, reveals that AIS has collaborated with Google for several years. Now AIS and Google are taking their partnership to the next level, allowing Thais to access their favorite services through the latest innovation "Google Assistant" application across all devices.

AIS becomes the first mobile phone operator in Southeast Asia to partner with Google in providing Google Assistant in a local language. From the end of this month, Thais will be able to speak to and get help from Google Assistant in Thai via My AIS app and easily access their favorite digital content on the AIS PLAY app.

Mr. Pratthana adds that as a leading digital life service provider, AIS places great importance on the development of digital infrastructure that enables public and private organizations as well as members of the Thai public to have complete and quick access to digital technology. The aim is to offer customers greater convenience, enhance capabilities and expand business growth to an unlimited level based on the concept Digital for Thais. Such successful developments are partly driven by strategic partners like Google.

"AIS is very proud to team up with Google to go beyond limitations, reduce the gap and enable all Thais to enjoy content from all over the world via the YouTube Go application. This is particularly important for the fast-growing number of people in provincial and remote areas who use data via budget smartphones, as it means they will discover new experiences, learn more about the world and be inspired by the enormous amount of content that's created every second by people all over the world. AIS now is introducing a budget package that will allow customers to get featuresthrough YouTube Go app," adds Mr. Pratthana.
