CAT e-business goes on with its mission to expand partnership and enter into the digital age. It has invited gurus in various fields to a seminar in the CAT e-business Showcase 2019 organised on the theme of "Digital AGE…Age of Opportunity".

CAT Telecom Public Company Limited through its content and application development and service arm, CAT e-business, annually shows off its potential and innovations in Surasak 1 Room of Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn. On the same occasion, it organises a seminar to prepare operators for the digital age and introduces a new service, Aculearn Online by CAT, which is a new chapter of Thai education to meet the lifestyle of Generation C people.

Dhanant Subhadrabandhu, CAT Telecom's senior executive vice president for marketing and service, says changes and businesses amid the influxes of technologies and innovations clearly mean dire necessity for all organisations to change, cope with what will inevitably happen in the future, survive and achieve their goals in secure and sustainable manners. The change also means national stability and security.

"Although the digital age sees many businesses being shut down because of digital disruption, it brings opportunities to those who catch up with it and can apply innovations to further develop their businesses in the circumstance of heightened competition. SMEs can become smart enterprises with higher potential, shifting from conventional services to high value services. The necessary change happens not only to businesses but also to the educational sector that must adapt to guarantee steady growth in the digital age. When everyone is the Gen C, classrooms exist anywhere and anytime," Mr Dhanant said.

Gurus in information technology, marketing and educational sectors are in the seminar to provide inspirations and exchange ideas on sustainable businesses in the digital age. They include the followings.

Dr.Wiriyah Ruechaipanit, a technology academic and the founder of www.eduzones.com who has been in the educational sector for 15 years, will lecture on how to survive digital disruption.

Alvin Lee, the general manager of Education Aculearn Pte Ltd who supervises educational services of Aculearn Co of Singapore. The former lecturer and executive of leading educational institutions in Singapore with 16 years of experiences will give a speech on "Aculearn Online by CAT", as the future of education.

There is also a discussion on "Retail Innovation: Redefines the Retail Experience". In the session, experts from many sectors will share tips on businesses in the digital age for small-scaled Thai operators to cope with changing trade and smoothly enter into online-to-offline (O2O) businesses. Speakers are:

Wichai Thongtang – an expert from Phyathai Hospital and Paolo Hospital, a major shareholder of Wuttisak Clinic, and a leading investor in the Stock Exchange of Thailand;

Songsak Chatchusakul, the managing director, and Akarapong Kuldetnitipat, the chief executive officer, at Integrated System Software Co – a new management duo keen on e-commerce.

The CAT e-business Showcase 2019 event also introduces Aculearn Online by CAT, a new and innovative educational technology from Singapore which is recognised as the top country in education of Asia and the world. It defines educational opportunities in the digital world. Besides, the event shows off a modern shop model supported by iget by CAT, an e-commerce shop management system that guarantees new entrepreneurs' smooth steps to the O2O era.

An important highlight in the event is the signing of an agreement to implement the Smart Market 4.0 project. The City Market Office of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and CAT Telecom Public Company Limited will sign the agreement on the project that will turn conventional markets into Smart Markets 4.0. The iget by CAT service will allow vendors at markets under the supervision of the City Market Office to run their stalls for both online and offline sales. Consequently the vendors' businesses will meet the demands of local consumers and foreign tourists in a sustainable way. The project will begin with the Sanam Luang 2 market.

The event will be concluded with a discussion on "Business Matching: Partnership Means Business Opportunities". Business experts in the government and private sectors will present ideas to create opportunities through partnership for the sake of sustainable businesses in the digital age.
