Top students team up in the IT One Experience business case competition winning more than 150,000 baht

Student teams from eight leading Thai universities participated in this year's competition.

IT One held its eighth annual one-day "IT One Experience" competition, with the participation of 40 high-potential students in their senior year, demonstrating how IT One goes above and beyond in addressing client imperatives and offering solutions to elevate their capabilities. The competition allows participants to be innovative, but also provides them with a truly immersive experience in digital consulting and solutions delivery. Students from several leading universities in Thailand participated including Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thammasat University, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Mahidol University and Mae Fah Luang University. The success of last year's event resulted in a record-breaking 300 applicants this year. The final 40 were selected based on their GPA, a rigorous assessment process, and interview.

This year's program included two business cases, highlighting digitally disrupting industries: Healthcare and logistics. The business cases were exclusively developed by IT One's subject matter advisors who are involved in numerous successful digital transformation projects.

- Healthcare: Digital transformation project, digitalizing the patient management process, and solidifying the digital roadmap. Participants had to come up with solutions to improve operational efficiencies or the experience from patient or hospital personnel's perspectives.

- Logistics: Participants had to devise optimal solutions integrating the concept of the "Connected Fleet" and "Digital Supply Chain" and recommend a viable pilot customer segment for the solution.

This competition provides a practical, hands-on experience for students, allowing them to gain a holistic, agile and innovative way to think, which is a best practice that can be applied wherever and whatever they work on. They also benefited from the constructive guidance from a team of counsellors who have direct experience and who are experts in their fields, as well as the profound insights from the judging panel.

"This eighth edition of the 'IT One Experience' reflects the new dynamic nature of solving problems with innovation at the core. The program aspires to help participants understand and be fully aware of their capabilities and the positive impacts they can have on industry or businesses if they are to pursue a career in building digital solutions in this new disruptive era."
