Etihad Holidays, a division of Etihad Airways, and Tourism Malaysia have launched a joint campaign in the UAE to promote Malaysia as a holiday destination.
To support the new promotion Etihad Holidays has announced a series of special Malaysia packages with lead-in fares starting from AED 1,995 which includes three nights’ accommodation, return economy class ticket, hotel transfers and breakfast.
Tony Gauci, Etihad Holidays’ general manager, said: “Working jointly with Tourism Malaysia on this campaign will benefit both companies enormously because we will be able to share expertise and resources to help attract more visitors to this wonderful destination.
“In addition to the strong cultural ties with the UAE, our customers will enjoy the world-class hotels on offer in Malaysia as well as flying to Kuala Lumpur with Etihad Airways from our home-base in Abu Dhabi.”
Tuan Razali Tuan Omar, Tourism Malaysia director, said:” We are very proud to work closely with the UAE’s national airline and tourists will certainly enjoy Malaysia’s fascinating festivals and activities. We will continue to support Etihad Holidays efforts to promote Malaysia in this region.”
Among the special fares to Malaysia is AED 2095 for three nights at the three star Dorsett Regency, AED 2115 at the four star Renaissance Hotel and AED 2275 at the four star Sunway Lagoon.
At the higher end Etihad Holidays customers can book a three day break at the five star JW Marriott from as little as AED 2345 and the Mandarin Oriental from AED 2765.
Another highlight of the Malaysia campaign has been the performance by a traditional Malaysian dancing group at Abu Dhabi’s Al Wahda Mall during January.
