Air China, one of the world's leading airlines, has selected Corporation Service Company (CSC), the leading corporate identity and brand protection company, to help expand their international presence on the Internet. CSC will help Air China manage and secure their domain names across new markets and help protect its brands from infringement on the Internet.
In today's world, when expanding a brand into new markets, it is vital to ensure all relevant domain names have been properly secured. Forward-looking companies, such as Air China, have determined it is important that during market-entry planning, domain names must be secured in order to prevent cybersquattering activities. In these situations, a proactive online strategy must be developed.
"Air China is a strong, well-established brand in Asia that is also growing in other regions in the world. We are delighted they chose us to help fulfill their plans for international expansion," commented Robert Farrugia, Managing Director at CSC. "One of the key issues for Air China is securing all their domain names in each country that they operate but also in countries that present a high risk of brand infringement. At CSC we take a proactive role in consulting with our clients to ensure they obtain the desired coverage and remain within their budget."
Mr. Zhu Songyan, Managing Director E-commerce, Air China: "As a worldwide carrier, it is imperative that we cater to each 'local' marketplace. We therefore decided to launch a local Air China web site in all 27 markets where we operate and we are very pleased to be working with CSC as part of this effort. We understand the importance of securing the digital Air China brand in the online world as the Internet plays an increasingly important role in our business, especially considering the incredible rate which consumers going online in Asia. Therefore, we had to turn to a company with the experience of CSC to assist us in providing expert advice and service."
CSC will service the China-based company's requirements through its European Headquarters in London.

These new service features, which include flat beds in First Class and lie-flat seats in Business Class, have redefined luxury in China's airline industry. Air China was also the first airline in China to launch a frequent flyer program known as PhoenixMiles.
By its innovation and quality service, the company has won numerous accolades of the industry. For three years running, it has been honored with Customer Satisfaction Award by China Air Transport Association, and as the Best Domestic Carrier Serving China by Business Traveler and TTG.
