The celebrations continued with a long drum parade, led by the resort team, which made its way from beachfront through the resort. The parade featured a long drum band, traditional Thai dancing, Lilly and Lucky, the resort’s elephant and water festival while guests were splashing water to each other as well as wishing them a happy new year. They also performed the traditional Songkran pouring of scented water over the hands of elders while wishing those happy and blissful times ahead. This traditional rite symbolizes respect to the elders and a prosperous start of the New Year. The celebrations concluded by a complimentary cocktail party.
