AirAsia, The World's Best Low Cost Airline for five consecutive years (2009-2013) according to Skytrax, is ready to connect the business centres of Thailand and Myanmar with direct flights from Bangkok to Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar's political and economic capital, with its fleet of 180-seat all new Airbus A320s at the starting fare of only 1,290 THB per trip (inclusive of airport tax and fees). Book today until 8 September, 2013 for travel between 28 October, 2013 and 5 August, 2014.

Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, remarked that business in Myanmar is growing at an exponential rate as it has become the main focus of the region and the world. He pointed out that Thailand is a major trading partner with the country and its companies and investors continue to enter into Myanmar daily, especially into Nay Pyi Taw, the nation's capital, with its political as well as economic significance. AirAsia has acknowledged that opening a route between Bangkok and Nay Pyi Taw would be crucial to fostering Myanmar's financial development and the economic ties between Thailand and its neighbour.
