The brand-new Airbus A320 (code VN-A659) is the third plane from an order of 100 aircraft made with the French aviation group. Its arrival takes Vietjet’s fleet to a total of 21.
The aircraft was exclusively assembled by Airbus for Vietjet and features the airline’s trademark luxurious leather seats, an elegant carpet, and premium interior decoration, all fitted out according to Airbus’ meticulous, industry-leading standards and Vietjet’s specifications.
This single-aisle plane is the best-selling aircraft around the world as a result of the modern and advanced technology, which helps airlines to reduce fuel consumption and lower operational costs.
Vietjet’s expanded fleet will enable the airline to better meet increased travel demand during the Lunar New Year holiday season. Moving forward, Vietjet will send another brand new A320 directly to Thailand by the end of March 2015 in order for the joint venture Thai Vietjet to operate its very first domestic flights in Thailand to meet travel demand during the Songkran festival.
At that time, Thai Vietjet will operate domestic flights between Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok to Phuket, Udon Thani and Krabi as well as international flights between Bangkok and Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Thai Vietjet will introduce more opportunities to travel by air to domestic and foreign tourists in Thailand. Flying with Thai Vietjet, travelers will be able to enjoy safe and enjoyable flights at the best fares ever.
