Hey! Asean New Online Travel program aims to promote ASEAN Tourism and Culture to the World

Art Thomya, CEO & Founder of Art Inspire Company Limited, in collaboration with, Ms. Thaniwan Koonmongkon – President of Thai Restaurant Association and Vice President of Thai SMEs Federation and Ms. Sathita Sorassa – President of Media and Blogger Club, has launched a new online travel program 'Hey! Asean', broadcast on YouTube, aiming to promote ASEAN Tourism and Culture to international travellers. The program is produced and hosted by Art Thomya, former scholar of various international exchange programs, including the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program,   ASEAN-Korea Future-Oriented Youth Exchange Program, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. Art is also a lead singer of SING OUT ASIA, a band consisted of artists from around Asia, who toured around the region to promote international understanding via music. Art also wrote and performed Tourism Authority of Thailand's song 'Miracle Thailand' and was a founding member of Google Thailand.

Hey! Asean has been officially launched at the event at Asia-Pacific Development Centre on Disabilities in Bangkok. The event also featured ASEAN Panel Talk under the topic 'Why this is the best time to visit ASEAN?' with professionals from relelated organisations, led by Mr. Siripakorn Chewsamoot, Tourism Authority of Thailand's Executive Director for Information Technology, Mr. Kridhakorn Sirabhabhoj, Bangkok Airways's Director of Advertising and Creative, Dr. Siripong Preutthipan, State Railway of Thailand's Deputy Director for Property Management & Development Department and Ms. Wimolrat Ratchukool, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security's Director of ASEAN Division. This event was official supported by Thailand's Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

Moreover, Art mentioned that the objective of the program is to promote Thailand and ASEAN Tourism to international travellers via online platforms by providing useful information in travel, food, art, culture, and interesting activities recommended by locals in each destination. The program is officially sponsored by Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited. Captain Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth said 'Hey! Asean will help promote local information in ASEAN, one of the world's fastest growing regions in tourism, to travellers around the world via online platforms.

Hey! Asean is an English language program broadcast via YouTube.com/ArtThomyaJourney. The first season is on air every Saturday at 9PM Bangkok time from 25 June 2016 – 21 January 2017, totalling 30 episodes from 10 ASEAN destinations e.g. Sukhothai, Luang Prabang, and Phnom Penh.

For each destination, there are 3 episodes which are 7 Must-Sees, 7 Must-Dos, and 7 Must-Eats. Art is accompanied by local hosts who will show the audience the charms of their hometowns.
