Hotel Industry Doyen to Lead the Team at Koh Samui's Premier Family-Focused Beachfront Property

Santiburi Koh Samui, the leading luxury resort catering to couples and families on Koh Samui's northshore, has announced the appointment of Sabine G. Lamberts as the five-star resort's new General Manager, taking over from Cedric Bonvin who returns to his native Switzerland. In her new role, Mrs Lamberts will be overseeing all aspects of the guest experience as the resort approaches its 27th anniversary in 2018.

With more than two decades of experience in the luxury hospitality industry spanning locations across Europe and Asia, Mrs Lamberts is well positioned to take Santiburi Beach Resort & Spa to ever-higher levels of personalised hospitality. Most recently, she worked as General Manager at Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran, while previous roles placed her in sales, marketing and management departments with some of the world's leading hotel groups such as Starwood, Concorde, Accor, and Marriott, including eight years at the 430-room flagship property Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel where she was Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Operations.

"We are delighted to welcome Sabine to lead the team at Santiburi Koh Samui," said Dirk De Cuyper, Chief Hospitality Officer, S Hotels & Resorts. "With her extensive management experience and proven track record of strengthening not only revenues, but also the teams and the offerings at the properties she has worked for, we are confident that Sabine will lead the resort to a successful 2018, driving business and guest satisfaction to even greater heights."

Along with a BA in Hotel Management and Tourism, German-born, Swiss-educated Lamberts also boasts an Executive MBA in Tourism and International Management and speaks five languages.

"While I understand that bottom line results and a financial healthy structure are crucial to any successful business, my prime focus clearly lies on guest experience, service excellence and associate motivation" said Mrs Lamberts. "These priorities set the tone and foundation for all other operations and will guide everything we work towards at the Santiburi Koh Samui," she added.

Situated on the pristine northern shores of the island, Santiburi Koh Samui offers discerning holidaymakers an exclusive choice of accommodation and world-class private facilities. A member of Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), the luxury resort features 77 Thai-inspired villas and suites and is set in a 23-acre palm tree covered estate that opens onto 300 metres of immaculate sandy beach with breathtaking views of the neighbouring islands.
