The spectacular 'Beautiful Bangkok by Magnolias @ Ratchaprasong' world-class 3D projection mapping performance onto the 60-story tower of Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard makes the city a joyous venue and the top place in Asia for counting down to Christmas 2017 and New Year's Eve. Set to enchant hundreds of thousands of visitors coming to celebrate their festive season in Bangkok, the 'Beautiful Bangkok by Magnolias @ Ratchaprasong' performance hosted by Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard (MRB) is endorsed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA). The super-luxury mixed-use development by Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited is the epic canvas for this extraordinary Christmas lighting display, the first of its kind in Thailand.

Mr. Visit Malaisirirat, CEO of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited, said, "We're delighted to present 'Beautiful Bangkok by Magnolias @ Ratchaprasong' as our gift to the city, bringing a joyful year-end to all visitors who come to Bangkok. The performance, created by 'Limelight', a world-class artist group, embodies Thainess and cultural pride, and reinforces Bangkok's status as an international destination for leisure and

business travelers. This spectacular show will make the city more vibrant and colorful at Christmas time in keeping with the spirit of the season, as well as highlighting 'Amazing Thailand', the national campaign to showcase Thailand's incredible version of the NY's Eve Countdown. We expect visitor numbers in Ratchaprasong area will increase by 30% from 600,000 visitors to 780,000 visitors during the Greeting Festival as they come to shop, celebrate the countdown, and see the stunning 3D light art installation projection".

According to TAT, foreign and Thai tourists will spend some BHT15.56 billion from December 29 to January 2, 2018.

Based on air ticket and accommodation reservations, about 420,000 foreign tourists are expected to visit Thailand during the New Year holiday period, an increase of 17 percent on last year. These tourists are expected to spend around BHT6.5 billion in Thailand, an increase of 30 percent. TAT says that about 2.48 million Thais would travel and visit tourist destinations during the same period, a decrease of four percent due to various other factors, but their spending would rise by two percent to about BHT8.994 billion.

For the run-up to Christmas, the lighting show will incorporate special Christmas elements and festive motifs to celebrate the season of joy and togetherness with BKK citizens and international visitors. The Christmas animation will feature a giant Christmas tree, starts with the building rotating into a small tree then transforms into a towering, living tree with pine leaves and decoration whilst snowflakes fall from the sky. On New Year's Eve, the program will feature a NYE countdown, New Year's greetings and an integrated fireworks display to mark the magical close of 2017.

MRB itself is an iconic architecture inspired by magnolias flowers. Comprising 316 luxury residence units plus office areas and the 5-star hotel Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, the first branch in SEA.

The light installation art projected onto MRB's facade can best be viewed from six of the city's top retail and hospitality spots. They are: MRB itself; The Peninsula Plaza; Amarin Plaza; CentralWorld; Gaysorn Plaza; and Central Chidlom.
