Aleenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa, the award-winning boutique luxury resort on Thailand's golden gulf coast, is extending its reputation to offer holistic holidays and a commitment to wellness by hosting an International Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat in May.

Mindfulness. in a nutshell, is described as paying attention on purpose, in the present moment and without judgment, simply having an experience without assessing if it is good or bad. By doing this, we develop more self-awareness, emotional balance, and impulse control. Mindfulness helps create space between strong emotions and actions. We learn to deal with positive and negative experiences more calmly to make better decisions and create healthier relationships.

There is no better place to dive deeply into exploring the practices of mindfulness then at the the luxurious low-rise sanctuary nestled on the Pranburi beach, just 3 hours' drive south of Bangkok. Aleenta Hua Hin offers the environment for total relaxation and sustainable living practices providing the perfect conditions to awaken your body and soothe your soul.

Scheduled for 18-20 May 2018, the three-day retreat will be led by Masooma Kachelo, a trained expert in mindfulness who consults privately to adults, as well as runs mindful parenting workshops and teaches mindfulness to children at schools in Thailand, California and the Netherlands. She has also lead retreats for some of the world's biggest companies, including Unilever and Novartis.

To support Masooma's sessions, Caroline Combelles – qualified yoga instructor teaching meditation, yoga, Tension Release Exercises (TRE) and other movement modalities in Thailand and Europe – will run a series of yoga workshops, including TRE and sessions on Mindful Movement.

"Our retreat offers a safe, loving space in a beautiful, luxurious natural setting that allows your body and heart to open in a way that best serves you," explains Masooma. "Each participant can craft his or her own "spiritual" practice and awaken into deeper conscious living."

Together, Masooma and Caroline will balance stillness, laughter, movement and inward reflection during 17 hours of wellness sessions over the course of three days. The sessions will be divided between mindfulness and yoga training, ensuring a perfect blend of spiritual and physical wellbeing.
