To celebrate the Thai new year on the upcoming Songkran festival, Megabangna, shopping centre for everybody in the family, would like to invite all to join us at the "Mega Songkran: Mega Splash…Mega Lanna New Year". For this year's Songkran festival, Megabangna is ready to offer happiness to all by bringing the exotic town of Lanna to the city under the concept "Mega Splash…Mega Lanna Happiness". The whole shopping centre will be extravagantly decorated with Tung—a northern style flag, and Yi Peng—a northern style lantern to set the stage for the special event. Activities are divided into Sook Jai Zone, located at the main entrance, where every family can take pleasure from inheriting the Thai New Year tradition by paying respect to the replicated buddha statues from various well-known temples around the country such as Phra Buddha Sihing, the renowned Lanna style buddha statue. Shoppers can also water the buddha statue representing their birthday of the week, and don't miss the chance to see the exciting and rare Lanna style performances such as Sabatchai Drum Dance, Jeng Dance—a northern style elegant and exhilarating dance created from the ancient Thai martial arts, and Sword Dance. On the other hand, get ready to splash away all the summer heat at Sard Sanook Zone, located at Mega Plaza, where everyone can enjoy all day cooling off at the mobile water park, well-equipped with giant water slider and water tunnel.
