Photo Release: THAI and Rolls-Royce Sign MOU to Expand THAI Capability to be Authorised Maintenance Centres of Trent 700 Engine

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rolls-Royce to expand THAI's capability to be Authorised Maintenance Centres of Roll-Royce Trent 700 engine. The MOU was signed by Mrs. Usanee Sangsingkeo (front row, first left), THAI Acting President and Mr. Hugh Vanijprabha (front row, first right), Managing Director, Rolls-Royce Thailand. The MOU signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Sontirat Sontijirawong (front row, second left), Thai Minister of Commerce, Mr. Mark Garnier (front row, second right), Member of Parliament of the UK, Mr. Surachai Piencharoensak (back row, second left), THAI Executive Vice President, Technical Department and Lord Charles Powell of Bayswater (back row, second right), held at Landmark Hotel, London.

This MOU builds on THAI's existing facilities to be able to repair and overhaul new engine types that are currently used by commercial airlines today. THAI has the capability to expand its engine maintenance services for Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine, which will meet the needs of the regional market, making sufficient use of the maintenance facilities and further develop a joint business venture.
