THAI Appoints New Chairman of the Board of Directors

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited's (THAI) Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas as THAI's Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective 10 July 2018.

Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas is currently 46 years of age and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honors) from Thammasat University, a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A., and a Doctorate of Philosophy from Claremont Graduate University, U.S.A. with a Royal Thai Government Scholarship. He has held the position of Minister (Economics and Finance), Office of Economics and Financial Affairs for the United Kingdom and Europe, at the Royal Thai Embassy in the United Kingdom, International Economic Advisor of the Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance, Deputy Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance, Spokesman of the Ministry of Finance, Senior Advisor to the Executive Director, the World Bank, in Washington, D.C., and Director-General of the State Enterprise Policy, Ministry of Finance. He is currently the Director-General of the Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance, prior to his appointment as THAI's Chairman of the Board of Directors.
