The flight's captain was Chananporn Rosjan or "Nod" who represented Thailand 13 years ago as Miss Universe Thailand 2005 in the Miss Universe pageant hosted in Thailand. She then took the award for Best National Costume before becoming a pilot at Thai AirAsia for the past 13 years.
Captain Chananporn (middle left) flew an Airbus A320 for flight FD3213, carrying 180 passengers safely to Krabi, and welcomed the contestants by making an introduction from the cockpit that she was also among those competing in Miss Universe 2005 before snapping a photo with Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Miss Universe 2017, (middle right) and the other contestants.
Captain Chanunporn encouraged all the fans to support the contestants of Miss Universe 2018, especially Thailand's representative, and to be good hosts to all visitors in Thailand.
