Increasing energy consumption in Thailand
Mr. Tatree Riewcharoen, Assistant Governor, Corporate Social Responsibility, EGAT said, "According to the current energy situation in Thailand, energy consumption demand is increasing in line with the continued economic growth. Consequently, the government has a policy to promote energy efficiency and alternative energy. As a result, EGAT is hosting TEEW 2017, an international exhibition for energy efficiency products and technologies. It is scheduled to take place from 11-13 May 2017. TEEW 2017 is a major international event that will raise Thailand as a hub for high-performance energy efficiency and LED products and technologies, as well as electronic components in the ASEAN region."
"EGAT also supports Thai small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to exhibit their products at a special price at the EGAT-Thailand Pavilion. This is an important drive for Thai entrepreneurs to showcase their potential to the international energy market. EGAT is committed to making this important event grand to encourage entrepreneurs and to raise the level of energy saving awareness amongst consumers. The organizers have ensured its readiness to accommodate 20,000 trade buyers who are expected to spend over 1 billion baht at the event," Mr. Tatree added.
Full support from TCEB
Mrs. Supawan Teerarat, Vice President, Strategic and Business Development, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau ("TCEB") said, "TCEB is supporting the TEEW 2017 to fulfill its mission of promoting and developing the potential of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE). This includes creating market opportunities and competition for Thailand's MICE industry in the global market that will lead Thailand to become the MICE hub in Asia. This year, TCEB backs its organizers with the Connect Businesses Campaign, which brings together businessmen and entrepreneurs from abroad to participate in the trade negotiation in the event. Another new campaign, "Exhibiz in Market", is also launched this year, with the aim of expanding exhibition space for international trade fairs and increasing the quality of exhibitors."
