Bangkok--26 Dec--Central Pattana

Central Pattana Plc (CPN) has made a major move to welcome the opening of Central Phuket, a world-class megaproject. CPN has spent 100 million baht to turn Phuket into a world kitchen, with the opening of Public House, a magnificent international food and drinks hub in a casual dining environment. Located at CentralFestival Phuket, Public House's design takes inspiration from a beach hut style. It features live music and exciting performances every night, making Phuket come alive and stay true to its designation as a world-class beach holiday destination just in time for the high season for Phuket tourism and the year-end festive season. The dining hub will open daily from 19th December 2017 onward, from 10 a.m. to midnight.

Pakorn Partanapat, Chief Operating Officer at Central Pattana Plc, said: "Phuket is a city with excellent potential as a world-class tourist destination. This major change for CentralFestival Phuket will make customers find the shopping center more accessible. It is also in line with global dining trends. Public House will be like a kitchen of the world offering a combination of foods from different countries and in different styles, in a casual dining environment. Residents of Phuket and tourists from all over the world will get to experience culinary delights and meet up with their acquaintances in an environment that is unlike any other. Public House will be a magnet that helps give a boost to Phuket's tourism and lifestyle. It will be a landmark for international tourists, attracting visitors from all corners of the world to come and spend their money and explore new experiences."

Phuket was voted as second among the top must-visit island destinations in Asia for 2017 by readers of Destination ASEAN magazine, and is also one of the eight island destinations recommended by TripAdvisor. Phuket helps generate more than 300 billion baht in revenue for the country annually. It welcomes as many as 13 million tourists each year, more than 70% of whom are foreigners. The majority are Chinese, Korean, Australian, Russian, European, and Middle Eastern.

Public House is located on the first floor of CentralFestival Phuket. The highlight is the international foods and drinks, ranging from fusion to original styles — all available for casual dining experiences. There are popular menu items by renowned restaurants like Chicken Tandoori by Bamboo Bar & Grill, Red Hot by Kenny Rogers Roasters, Ice Cream Mix-Ins by Phuket Coffee, Piadina Romagnola by Piadina and Traditional Pad Thai by Pint Factory. Diners will get to enjoy live music and performances every night, with different styles of music in a relaxed atmosphere. Opening hours are from 10.30 p.m. to midnight. The target groups are tourists, local workers in the middle and higher income brackets, and people who love to hang out.

CentralFestival Phuket is one of the buildings in Central Phuket, CPN's world-class megaproject and 33rd shopping center project. It comprises a high-end hotel, an international conference center and a wide range of attractions. The 20-billion-baht megaproject is located in the heart of Phuket, at Tainan Intersection, which is the best business district in Phuket and also the connection point of major roads running from all directions. It is located near the International Airport and easy to access. CPN is determined to develop this space into the perfect business and lifestyle district in Phuket.
