SCG showcases innovative Floating Solar Farm at the Asia Clean Energy Summit Conference 2018 in Singapore

Chemicals Business, SCG, showcases the innovative "Floating Solar Farm" as the first integrated solution in Thailand at the Asia Clean Energy Summit Conference & Exhibition 2018 from the 31st of October to the 2nd of November in Singapore. Dr. Suracha Udomsak, R&D Director and Emerging Business Director, Chemicals Business, SCG, attended the event as one of the keynote speakers at the "International Floating Solar Symposium" presenting the topic "The Importance of Material Properties and Design to Make the Solar Pontoon Durable".

Dr. Suracha Udomsak said "Chemicals Business, SCG has developed the first integrated solution of Floating Solar Farm in Thailand which offers a series of services ranging from system designing, installation, handling permission, and electrical installation to maintenance. SCG brings our expertise in polymer and product design to develop the Floating Solar pontoon based on key factors of utilization, environment, landscape and climate. SCG's floating pontoons are made of high-quality polyethylene resin which can last up to 25 years, suitable for extreme outdoor condition, high UV resistant, various temperature resistance, compliance with consumable water and recyclable. The pontoon are designed to fit with application, simple installation coupled with excellent space efficiency which employs strength and durability, eco-friendly and yet received good feedback from internal and external clients."
