SAN FRANCISCO: Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) announced today that it
has priced the initial public offering of 406,000,000 shares of
Class A common stock at $44 per share. Visa's shares will begin
trading on March 19, 2008, on the New York Stock Exchange under
the ticker symbol "V". The closing of the offering is scheduled
to take place on March 25, 2008. Visa expects net proceeds from
the offering, after deducting underwriting discounts and
commissions and estimated offering expenses, to be
approximately $17.3 billion. The underwriters have a 30-day
option to purchase up to 40,600,000 additional shares of Class
A common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
