Following the company?s recent acquisition of Living and Leisure Australia Group?s 10 attractions in Asia Pacific, Merlin Entertainments Group (?Merlin), the world?s second largest visitor attraction operator has now taken over one of Bangkok?s biggest and most popular attractions, and South East Asia?s largest aquarium ? Siam Ocean World. This not only underlines Merlin?s position as the world?s premier aquarium operator with its SEA LIFE brand; but also complements the company?s other fast growing business in the city ? the iconic Madame Tussauds Bangkok wax attraction, opened last year in the Siam Centre and managed by General Manager Paul Williams.

Merlin is looking to make a significant investment in the aquarium, making it an even more exciting and must-do attraction for anyone visiting the city, and the local team, together with Merlin?s global marine experts will be working on these plans over the coming months.

The linking of these two exciting attractions not only offers a number of management and commercial benefits, but also provides a platform for Merlin to develop joint marketing activities. The first of these is the launch of a joint ticket package to the two attractions offering great value for visitors. They can now get up close and personal with their favourite stars at Madame Tussauds Bangkok and marvel at the amazing creatures and mysteries of the ocean at Siam Ocean World for only 630 Baht for adults or 470 Baht for children, 25% discount from the regular prices of 850 Baht and 630 Baht, respectively. Visitors will also be entitled to up to 40% discount on other activities and souvenirs at the sites. These offers are valid from now at Madame Tussauds Bangkok and Siam Ocean World, and joint tickets can be purchased at both attractions
