ONYX and Tai Hung Fai Group Continue Cooperation with the Introduction of Shama Island North

New serviced apartments marks the fourth property between both partners, and is scheduled to open in early 2017

Following the success of Shama Hollywood, Shama Fortress Hill and Shama Midlevels, ONYX Hospitality Group further enhances its strategic partnership with Hong Kong property developer Tai Hung Fai Group with the signing of a management agreement for a new Shama serviced apartments property in North Point, Hong Kong.

Located on 310A King's Road, Shama Island North Hong Kong will feature a total of 121 keys. There will be 29 hotel rooms, located on the 2nd to 4th floors available for short stay, and 92 serviced apartments, located on the 5th floor onwards in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations will be available for longer stays.

All hotel rooms will be contemporarily designed, providing the highest degree of functionality and practicality. For long-stay guests, each uniquely furnished serviced apartment will offer a wide array of amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen, customised Shama Slumber bed, high-definition TV with an international selection of channels, a DVD player, and Wi-Fi internet. Some apartments will also have their own private balconies or terraces.

Due to open in early 2017, the new Shama Island North will also offer a comprehensive range of facilities, including an in-house fitness centre, Shama Gym, a spacious lounge area, Shama Den, a flat roof terrace, Shama Chill, where guests can hang out, and a well-equipped business centre, Shama Wired. In addition, self-service laundry facilities, located on the 5th floor, will be made available for long-stay guests. Personalised housekeeping service, round-the-clock security and concierge services will also be provided to ensure that guests enjoy an exceptional living experience. Guests staying at Shama Island North will also enjoy Shama's exclusive "no boundaries" programme, which comprises hood-tours, lifestyle activities and networking events, allowing guests to fast track their social lives and easily fit in with their new locality.

ONYX currently manages 19 serviced apartments under the Shama brand across Asia Pacific, including six in Hong Kong. Apart from Shama Island North, other serviced apartments under development are Shama Pazhou Guangzou, Shama Xiangnanli Chengdu and Shama Daqing Heilongjiang, scheduled to open in 2017, as well as Shama Medini Iskandar, Shama Caojiadu Shanghai, Shama Yanglin Beijing, Shama Lite Tianfu Chengdu, and the recently announced Shama Luxe Aurora Melbourne Central, all slated to open from 2018 onwards.
