The Athenee Hotel is among 13 selected Marriott International hotels that will be supporting three homes for orphans around Bangkok on 23 May 2018, by delivering a special lunch to the children.
"We are very grateful to have the opportunity to further one of our long-held social responsibility causes, namely supporting underprivileged children and all children in need of a helping hand," said ChooLeng Goh, the hotel's General Manager. "Furthermore, this particular initiative will help integrate or reintegrate some of the children into broader society, which is another cause close to our hearts."
The three charities that will benefit from funds raised by the lunch are:
- Rajvithi Home for Girls, providing welfare services including formal and vocational education for needy girls.
- Baan Rachawadee for Boys, a home for mentally disabled boys aged 7-18 years who have been abandoned by their families.
- The Mercy Centre, a shelter to accommodate our expanding services to orphans, street children, and children with HIV/AIDS.
The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok will visit Baan Rachawadee for Boys, bringing along a delicious lunch, together with partners JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, Aloft Sukhumvit 11, Renaissance Bangkok, Marriott Sukhumvit, Thonglor and St Regis Bangkok.
Other participating Marriott International hotels include Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, Marriott Marquis Queens Park, Westin Grande Sukhumvit, W Bangkok, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Marriott Suriwongse, Le Meridien Bangkok.
