Mercedes-Benz signs Don Bosco Banpong into AMT Dual Training Program to expand skills development opportunity for vocational students in Thailand and presents German-accredited certificates to graduates and certified staff

Mercedes-Benz Thailand is extending the reach of its Automotive Mechatronics Technician (AMT) Dual Training Program through today's MoU with Don Bosco Banpong Technological College as part of the company's contribution to equip vocational students in Thailand with the same technical competency as professional technicians in Germany. The signing was represented by Mr. Michael Grewe, President and CEO; Mr. Heiko Nitsche, Vice President and CFO, and Mr. Putthi Tulayathun, Vice President of Customer Services of Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Ltd. alongside Mr. Roland Wein, Executive Director of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Jan Scheer, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangkok; Rev. Fr. Phonchit Phoolvithayakit, SDB Rector; Rev. Fr. Phuwanat Kitsawad, SDB Director; and Rev. Bro. Saraphan Kaeser, SDB Manager of Don Bosco Banpong Technological College. The program offers an opportunity for vocational students with an interest in automotive mechatronics to be part of Mercedes-Benz family by undergoing the skills training that aims to supply quality technicians to the automotive industry. Don Bosco Banpong Technological College is the fourth to join this program under the German-Thai Dual Excellence Education (GTDEE) initiative after Samutprakan Technical College, Eastern College of Technology, and Don Bosco Technological College.

On this occasion, the company presented Level B vocational certificate in automotive mechatronics to the 28th batch of 30 graduates who have completed the requirements and tests of the AMT Dual Training Program. These graduates are the second batch of Thai vocational students awarded with the certificate issued by the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in Germany. All of them have already been recruited by 12 Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers: Chitchai Chonburi Co., Ltd., Star Flag Co., Ltd., Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Lumpini branch), Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Ngamwongwan branch), Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Rachadamnoen branch), Benz Praram 3 Co., Ltd., Benz BKK Group Co., Ltd., MB Ramintra Co., Ltd., Metro Autohaus Co., Ltd., Autopolis Co., Ltd., Keng Hong Thong Co., Ltd., and Thonglor Group Co., Ltd.

Mercedes-Benz Thailand also presented certificates to professionals who have successfully completed advanced training courses, including nine service advisors in Certified Service Advisor 4.0 program and seven diagnosis technicians in Certified Diagnosis Technician 3.0 program. They are existing employees of 14 Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers, namely TTC Motor Co., Ltd., TTC Motor Ubon Ratchathani Co., Ltd., Keng Hong Thong Co., Ltd., Suanluang Autohaus Co., Ltd., Benz BKK Group Co., Ltd., Thonglor Group Co., Ltd., MB Korat Autohaus Co., Ltd., Thonburi Phanich Co., Ltd. (Lumpini branch), Benz BKK Vipawadee Co., Ltd., Metro Autohaus Co., Ltd., Viriya Cars Body Service Co., Ltd., Bhanthavee Auto Master LP, Benz Phuket Co., Ltd., and Star Flag Co., Ltd. All of them will apply the knowledge and skills obtained from the courses to deliver the best services and maximize customer satisfaction at Mercedes-Benz authorized dealerships nationwide.
