NBTC hosted International Symposium on 5G and Driving the Benefits of Big Data on 24th June 2021, to emphasize the role of 5G and Big Data in Industry 4.0

Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (Office of the NBTC) in cooperation with International Institutes of Communications (IIC) hosted International Symposium on 5G and Driving the Benefits of Big Data on 24th June 2021 via Hybrid Conference.

Office of the NBTC as the frequency assignment organization for 5G and telecommunication businesses licensing, aims to push forward the benefit of 5G and Big Data Technologies to strengthen Thai industry 4.0 and emphasize the role of 5G and Big Data applications that presently are a part of businesses around the world. The International Symposium provides an opportunity for government, private entities, academic, industries and stakeholders in telecom ecosystem to acknowledge inside information and the implementation of 5G and Big data in various aspects such as Healthcare and Financial sectors, which benefit the preparation and enlargement of businesses for sustainable development in Thai businesses. The honorable General Sukit Khamasundara, Commissioner Acting Chairman of the NBTC presided over the opening ceremony.

Office of the NBTC received great support and participation of speakers from counterpart countries around the world. There were more than 25 honorable speakers joining this international symposium such as Chairman of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Chairperson of Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communication (BEREC) 2021, Vice President of Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) Germany, Executive Director Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA), Deputy Director-General (Telecommunications) Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) (Hong Kong), Representative from Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Japan, Representative from Infocomm Media Development Authority, Singapore. Together with top executives from Nokia, AT&T, iQIYI, Google, Cisco, NTT Docomo, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asia Cloud Computing Association, Oracle ASEAN, Commissioner of Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Thailand, President of International Institute of Communications (IIC) with High Level management from Office of the NBTC and IIC as moderators.
