Thailand's leading real estate developer and operator of centralwOrld, CentralPlaza, CentralFestival, and Central Phuket and Central Village, has joined hands with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and over 1,000 entrepreneurs in various tourism-related businesses across the country to launch activities to stimulate tourism in six tourist cities, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Hat Yai.

The activities, aiming to revive the tourism sector nationwide and supporting spending stimulus programs of the government such as We Travel Together and Shop Dee Mee Kuen programs, will help the country prepare to open up to tourists when the current restriction is lifted on 1 November.

In cooperation with the Upper Southern Chapter of the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA), Central Pattana earlier hosted the Tour Tiew Thai event at Central Phuket to offer special discounts for tourism in the region, which received overwhelmingly positive responses from the public.

In addition to the Central Phuket event, which ended on 17 October, Central will host similar events at centralwOrld on 18-25 October and 11-15 November, CentralPlaza Chiangmai Airport on 21-2 October, CentralFestival Chiangmai on 28-31 October, and CentralFestival Samui, CentralPlaza Nakhon Si Thammarat and Central Hatyai in November this year.

Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President of Marketing of Central Pattana Plc., said, "Central Pattana is honored to collaborate with the TAT to launch this tourism stimulation campaign, which is the second campaign this year following the success of its predecessor in early 2021. This time we have joined forces with all tourism-related businesses to offer a full range of services, including luxury hotels and resorts, tourism packages and car rentals, restaurant deals and spa packages, for interested individuals to choose for the long holiday at the end of this year."

"This campaign will coincide with government measures to stimulate the economy and spending in the last quarter of this year, such as the phase three of We Travel Together and Shop Dee Mee Kuen schemes, as well as the plan to open up the country for foreign tourists on 1 November."

"In hosting the activities, we are fully prepared to carry out strict public health measures, including measures under our 'Central Hygiene & Safety Safe Plus+' standard on social distancing, vaccination of shop and shopping center employees, weekly ATK test routines, a 'big cleaning' operation at each shopping center after service each day, and sanitization of the air-conditioning system with UV-C to ensure safe and clean indoor circulation."

"We are confident that these activities will be able to help drive the economy and support the tourism industry nationwide. It will also promote cross-region tourism to distribution income across the country."

"As one of our strengths is the nationwide network of shopping centers, we believe that we will be able to play a crucial role in driving the whole tourism ecosystem of the country in support of government measures to revive the economic activities," said Dr. Nattakit.
